Boston's own Pavarotti .... Andrew Alexander !

WHATEVER you have in mind! [ ...and even some things you don't ], Andrew will help make your occasion a SMASH. From opera and classical to improv and show tunes. Mr. Alexander delights and entertains, sharing his vivacious love for music and high-spirited camaraderie to create for you ...a kind of entertainment that is spectacular! And not merely a spectacle to watch, but also an infusion of joy, to lift your special gathering to a warm, loving, and hilarious place, that you will always remember.

THIS is the kind of event that people REMEMBER. A time where we can laugh, sing along, enjoy the gorgeous music, and simply celebrate being together. Where we can learn a little more about some familiar, beloved songs and also be surprised and absolutely enraptured by a haunting new melody.

Andrew is not one to just stand there and sing! Andrew interacts with your guests and definitely gets everyone involved! His antics are always appropriate in the moment—each show is uniquely crafted to create the most immediate and abiding appeal for you and your guests. Andrew is always a hit... because he loves to make people happy.

"For me...this is the BEST business to be in!" "What greater value could I possibly create than to bring laughter and joy to others? ...to sing the most beautiful music, to bond with them through humor and beauty, and to share with them my love for music and zest for life. This is what makes me happy. This is what gives me joy and makes me feel like I'm doing good in the world. This is what makes me satisfied."

This not only makes Andrew feel like a MILLION BUCKS ... but ALL of his audiences as well.

Delighting audiences since the age of five, Andrew's performing knows no bounds. From opera to improv and back again to Brahms, Andrew himself delights in the music. This is what endears him to a broad range of listeners.

Performing for dignitaries such as Senator Kennedy, Mayor Menino, and former Mayor Flynn; and featured on Boston's award-winning "Chronicle", and on "CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood". Andrew's career has spanned over 700 performances including Carnegie Hall, Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, Tanglewood, Suffolk Downs, the Fleet Center, and the Wang Center for the Performing Arts.

A member of Boston Baroque for five years, he also performed on the critically acclaimed mid-west tour with the Mark Morris Dance Company and recorded seven CD's for the Telarc label including the Grammy nominated "Monteverdi Vespers of 1610" and "Bach's B Minor Mass".

Also at ease behind the baton, Andrew has conducted the Armenian Commemoration Choir at the Candlelight Vigil for Armenian Earthquake victims and survivors on the Boston Common; and as the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Boston Renaissance Chorus, a Buddhist mixed chorus of Soka Gakkai International, has directed the ensemble at regional meetings and events sponsored by the United Nations Association. He has also created the Svengali Cabaret, a long-running world folk and variety show.

The Boston Globe's Richard Dyer articulated after Andrew's performance in Irving Berlin's "Watch Your Step", the performance is simply "…delightful".

Dear Andrew,

I just want to thank you again for a terrific performance at Nancy's birthday party. Nancy's reaction was everything I hoped it would be and all of the guests had a great time because of you. I can't believe it’s been two weeks already. Nancy and I still talk about how much fun it was. You are terrific! Thanks again for a wonderful and unforgettable evening.

-Pablo Halpern

Thank you—it was everything I hoped for—and more!

-Greg Lowenberg, PhD., Director of Education, New England Wild Flower Society

Andrew really knows how to captivate a crowd. His powerful voice brings them in, and his witty humor keeps them wanting more. The portfolio of songs he has commited to memory is sure to impress music lovers of all ages.

-Jeff Bergeron, manager, Best Cellars, Boston

Andrew Alexander is a unique entertainer. Since 1997, he has worked for me on numerous occasions for a wide variety of clients. I book Andrew as often as I can because I know he is always a crowd pleaser. I have received so many compliments about his showmanship, his personality, his humor and his voice. Andrew is always reliable and handles even difficult situations with aplomb. From parties, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and Pavarotti-Grams, to parades and major sporting events, Andrew always brings off the event with a laugh and a rousing ovation. Singing in eleven languages, he always has something to delight, and offers it with heart, with love and with style. I would heartily recommend Andrew for any type of entertainment opportunity. He is sure to please.

Sincerely Yours,

-Joseph Kouyoumjian, President and Owner, Party Solutions.com

Mr. Alexander's melodies travel straight from the neocortex to the amygdala, then resonate throughout the limbic system, producing a near fugue state of sheer delight!

Neocortex, the part of the brain that first processes sound....

Amygdala, the part of the brain that processes raw feeling....

The limbic system, a term used to refer to parts of the brain that process emotion....

Fugue state, "loss of awareness of one's own identity, often coupled with flight from one's usual environment...."

The Experts Agree, he does all that... and more... Wow!!!

-Robert Brach, PA-C, Department of Neurology/ Neurosurgery Brigham and Women's Hospital Boston, MA

Andrew is a superb singer. He has a vast knowledge of vocal literature. He is versatile. I have heard him sing opera, folk, jazz, and show tunes. He sings in many languages with superb diction. He makes a real connection with the audience. I have had the pleasure of serving as Andrew’s accompanist for numerous concerts and functions (though he does just fine without an accompanist). Some memorable concerts included an all German concert (Schumann, Schubert etc.) for an elderly Viennese woman in a nursing home. Another was a concert of all Italian music for an Italian-born woman’s 80th birthday party. Andrew really connects with his audience—whether it is an audience of one or hundreds.

Andrew is prompt, reliable, courteous and highly professional, and I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Sincerely yours, -Joseph A. Reid
